A 2-Part Interview with Kevin Pho, MD.
Getting doctors to adopt social media isn’t always an easy sell. That’s essentially Kevin Pho‘s whole shtick, though. In fact, he’s likely the leading authority for internet-based medicine, and has become somewhat of an authority on this niche of professional medicine. Through a unique freelance assignment, I was able to interview Pho about his recently published book (Establishing, Managing, and Protecting Your Online Reputation: A Social Media Guide for Physicians and Medical Practices) for his firsthand glimpse of how social media is inherently necessary for physicians to succeed. The interview was conducted over the phone and in my car during a lunch break at my day job (writing ad copy for a Beauty Supply Company), and turned out very well, even getting some traction in the medical blogosphere. Pho continues to stay on the physician radar thanks in part to his site which produces and curates blog content from various figures within the medical world (physicians, patients, etc.). The 2-part interview was posted online and published as a 2-part series in Physician’s Office Resource Magazine. Read it here.
